I'm looking for any answers here

I'm having a client and he asked me that he should buy a .net domain for his new site, I am not sure .net is good one when comparing it to .com domain.
In your point of view, we can use .net for a large website or not. Also, it can be easy for developing and get rankings as .com extension?
What will you in this situation??

Your shares are greatly appreciated!!
Thank you

If you have a solid idea, proper optimization and good marketing the TLD itself doesn't even matter unless it's completely obscure.

I agree with Hassan, depends on what you will do for your website, it don't belong to domain extension to give you more chances.
But .com is more popular and genuine if you want to do business online. I suggest should go with it.

Definitely! YES. I would love to get a .NET domain if I have user friendly content and ideas. Believe me domain extensions doesn't matters a lot!

For example, Darren Rowse from Problogger .net! He made around $119725.45 from Amazon with .NET extension. Do you need more proofs? Just do a quick search.

Thanks!

I wouldn't to me .com/co.uk is by far the best TLD to use.. If you want examples then just look at all the huge sites out there.

I would definitely use a .net TLD for a large website since .net stands for Network. A network can also be turned into community as well as be intensively monetised with ad placement and content locking.

Do you know any advantages if we buy domain co.uk instead of domain .com?
The advantage of a co.uk TLD over a .com is that you are targeting United Kingdom. Your website is most likely to receive more traffic from United Kingdom even though it all depends on the content.
