I like using multiple blogs than one blog, especially for webs 2.0, It has more benefit than concentrating one blog.

It will be easier to promote a single blog, besides it pretty hard to create quality content if that's the case. Promotion will also be challenging if you have a multiple blog sites.

Of-course one blog is better to promote, You will not able to maintain 2 blogs.

I easily get success in promoting my one blog but now I maintain 3 blogs and traffic is dropped because I am not able to focus on single blog.

If you are expert in 2 different category then maintain multiple blog which will be good for SEO else single is better.

The answer is SIMPLE! Which is better: 50 blogs X $0 or 1 Blog X $1000? I can see you multiplying the number of blogs you have once you know how to make a blog produce income, but why have multiple blogs with no idea on how to make money blogging?

Learn to make income from one blog - then use your experience to create other producing blogs.

No I suppose that it is not SIMPLE, just imagining which is better if 50 blogs, each one x 100 or one Blog x $1000

Of course I think one blog will be more stronger than on blog because it will receive all things into one while you have to split works/good ones on multiple blogs.

Of course, everyone has a dream to make fulltime living from one blog. It is possible.
shoutmeloud, smartpassiveincone, johnchow, shomney - these guys are walking examples that it is possible.
But when it comes to niches and affiliate marketing, it can be eaiser to run a few blogs.

I would say one, then again, I am about to release another site in which I have to write content. Nevertheless, there is one big advantage for me. I am a writer and one of it, I can keep writting about music, movies, comics, art exhibitions and so on as it is culturaly oriented and established for more than 5 years now.

The new one I am about to release, relates to WordPress at a technical edge, which means that I can write for it articles in which it would make no sense to publish on the first, and since I am a developer, the second one will allow me to focus entirely on the coding side of things without losing my focus, as both have different niches.

How many blogs do you need? You won't get succeed if you create multiple blogs to just earn more revenue, if you have already made some, see which one them has more visitors. Remember, revenue is given to you as a reward for your hard work. So, the more helpful your blog is, the more you'll gain revenue. In answer to your question, I say keep only one popular blog.

Yes, You can create multiple blogs on different niches. However if you have enough time and resources to manage it. Sometimes bloggers create multiple blogs but are not be able to manage it effectively and get zero result. So, make the decision wisely because everything depends on you.

Statement is Quality vs. Quantity.

If you can provide quality of regular content on multiple blogs, then it would be successful. Fewer posts per day but related to your blog's niche is much effective than 50+ posts a day and all random redirect, advert link and similar reposts.

Take a note on which niche you work good at, focus on those until you are at ease before adding another blog/niche.

Good Luck for your blogs. Cheers

Answer on your question isn't that simple as is look. Considering that you for 50blogs × 100$ have to build up 50 blogs with good content and good SEO.
Then promote that blogs, get back links, be active on social on forums other blogs etc. etc.
Or you can go for one Niche blog and provide lots and lots good content / information get good SEO promote just 1 blog, engage social and forum activity for that one blog, build back links etc.
I will vote for one BIG FAT AUTHORITY blog. Get co-workers, co-writers.
Find ssmartblogger there is lots good content for bloggers.

One authority blog can make lots lots of $$$

You should definitely go with one blog and concentrate all your efforts on that, unless you are wanting to have blogs in vastly different niche fields.

This will allow you to concentrate all your time, efforts and money into growing just one blog and that should yield better overall results and help that one blog rank higher and keep people on the site longer because you will have a lot more posts and other information for them to read and see.

Splitting your efforts will usually only reduce the amount of traffic and money that you can make overall! ;)

With new technologies u have good option to manage multiple blogs, so depending on your power to produce quality content you may take a decision accordingly.
Promotion & Marketing of the blog
New updates and maintenance
reporting and daily updates of how much new content is being added and what is the impact of the content towards viewers.

One must ensure that 1 blog is successful and move to next, without having capacity and power to manage multiple blogs it will create multiple efforts and full time dedication towards the management of the blog.

You can use a network of 2 or more blogs in the same niche to make more money. For instance, you could have a blog that reviews HDTV and another that's more about consumer electronics news and link them together. I know CNET used to have cnet.com zdnet and download.com and they all where pretty much the same.

Blogs like that are managed with multiple people, even one blog with same niche have multiple writers and editors.
For example there is blogs about computer hardware and they provide lots of information about parts and companies, reviews etc they even have forums.
One or more writers are engaged in one field for example CPU.

One of these blogs have millions visitors.

In most cases I would say that going with one blog would be the better idea as this helps to add more pages, posts and content to a single site which concentrates all the traffic to it. It can also help it's authority and rankings improve and grow as long as best practices are used.

On some occasions where the topics of different blogs don't really belong together then going with multiple blogs would be fine.

Yes would advice you to concentrate on single blog and try to grab as much as traffic and update it with latest news or contents , this will require lots of time and recourse. with multi blog you wont be able to allocate adequate amount of time and may land up with no blog giving you the result you are looking for.

Don't remember where I read this but, there's an idea out there that it's better to have one blog than multiple blogs just simply because by creating multiple blogs, you are spreading and diluting the resources and effort that can be pumped into the one blog.

Why dilute efforts and impact across several sites, when you can focus on making one really successful?

I have seen that said many times and there was one article on SearchEngineLand about just that.

I have been guilty of doing that same thing myself in the past but I have learned first-hand that it's better to put all your efforts into one big blog than many smaller ones.

If you think you're capable, can manage them all, can provide quality posts, can have decent traffic driven to each of them, can spend appropriate time and effort and money (if needed), then you could go for multiple blogs. That said, it is always advisable to write only on those niches which you consider yourself an expert of. Don't go on fawning expertise in those areas which you know nothing of or know too little because in the end it'll all become tiresome job. Always do what you love to do. If you really like games, talk about them, have knowledge more than a novice gamer, then you could write on that. But if you write on fashion about which you have a little to no knowledge because you're not from that industry, nor are a student or graduate of such then you'll fail to give anything useful at all. So try working on those things which you know of, love to talk about, can write on them responsibly and creatively, and can have fun doing so.

Best of luck and keep up your good work.
