I am building my first website and need some help

Hello guys, i have just started building my first serious website which i will use for affiliate marketing but also because i like the subject i am covering on it.

But i would need some help as i am completely new to this.
My website is http://onlinemagictricks.tk and is about yeah.. you guessed it, magic tricks!
On the site i want to learn people magic tricks for free(?), and try to sell them magic supplies and eBooks.

What should i think about while doing this website?
Any help and tips about SEOing the site, should i be using the free template i'm using now or should i use wordpress and what the content should be like, would be greatly appreciated!

Do you even think a website with this niche will work?

Almost any niche you can think of will work if you "target" your audience/advertisements accurately/accordingly. Yes, it does take some testing but in the end this is the formula for the maximum success of any niche.

I do have a few suggestions for you, here they are:

If you plan on creating a "Long Term" website you should avoid using free TLD's. It is best to use TLD's such as .com .net .org and even targeted gTLD's if they are available in your niche. If you have little funds to invest just buy a .info as it's better for ranking in search engines.

This is a great idea and it is more profitable if you can make product/service commission from your websites rather then just CPC networks such as Adsense.

Don't buy SEO services or build too many links at once if you are building a long-term website for sustainability. Instead focus on the "social presence" of your website rather then "search engine presence" Think of creating content that engages the user.

It would be easier using Wordpress as your CMS (Content Management System) and customize your theme if you desire.
