We are only allowed to have one personal paypal account and one business paypal account. You should not create another personal account if you forgot the password. The solution is to contact PayPal support, or why don't you just reset the password using your email?

You can contact PayPal team on Twitter, they reply there quickly twitter.com/AskPayPal

Agree with this idea. Also, I thought he forget email to reset password for his Paypal account.
Perhaps, he didn't use account for a long time thus he forgot account information details.
Best solution is now contact Paypal support to ask for helps :)

This is incorrect. You are allowed one personal and Infinite amount of business accounts as there is only you, but you can have multiple businesses.
Just reset your password. How is it even possible to lose access?

As long as you have a separate email address and a different bank account - You can create many paypal accounts.

Yes you can create many but by their rules you can only have 2, one business account and one personal account.

I know that many people have more than that but having more puts your accounts at risk if they catch on. I had actually called them to ask about this and the Paypal employee told me 2 and emailed me a link to the rule.

If you have a wife or other family member then you could get more accounts in their names and that way you wouldn't be risking loosing the account.

Just what I thought. Not unless Paypal has a detail recognition thing which will alert them with your details. I think not. Coz I have a friend with several Paypal accounts, though with different bank accounts affiliated.

There will be issues with same name on Paypal and that account might get restricted if the paypal founds about second account.

Guys, I've had and created a second PayPal before you absolutely can make another one. Most people verify theirs with their SSN number on PayPal. However, when you open up an LLC or simply get an EIN number from the IRS, you can technically use those as separate entities. Legally they are so you can (I've done it before). You can have as many PayPal accounts as you have ID's.

You can have 2 Paypa accounts. Paypal answered this here

https://www.paypal.com/us/selfhelp/article/Can-I-have-multiple-PayPal-accounts-FAQ762

Yes. You can have one Consumer account and one Business account. You can add more email addresses, debit or credit cards, and bank accounts to your account, but each account must have its own email address and financial information. You can also upgrade your Consumer account to a Business account.

You can open another account but if you put the same social security number paypal will eventually link the 2 accounts together. As long as you have no unresolved payments and claims on the other account they will let them slide and run simultaneously you shouldn't have any problems.

Thanks you for piece of this information.
But what does exactly mean for this "if you put the same social security number paypal will eventually link the 2 accounts together"? How to avoid it? because I don't want to link my Paypal account together.

Make sure to give them a call and I am sure they should be able to fix this for you. I too lost my account credentials and made it up with the support by convincing them.

I don't understand the issues. You just have to contact Paypal and prove your identity and they will reset it just like a bank would reset the pin.

No, you can't do that; and if you try to do such things, you may even be banned and your funds may be seized deeming it all as an act of forgery or false identification. According to the terms and conditions of usage of a PayPal account, that we are asked to accept while signing up for a PayPal account, we are only given the sole right to own just one account with PayPal. Under no condition can we have more than one account with PayPal. We may have multiple back accounts linked to one PayPal account that are under our own details but we can't have multiple PayPal accounts. PayPal is very strict when it comes to such matters.

You should try to contact PayPal support if you're facing problem when logging into your account. Or if you have enabled a recovery method then you could use that. PayPal also enables two-factor authentication so if you have that enabled then you should not face any problem with the security of your PayPal account. But try to contact support or use recovery method so you could access your PayPal account. Best of luck.

It's not about having a business account or consumer account. He's asking about a PayPal account. He can't have multiple accounts on his name. He can have a business as well as a consumer account as you have also pointed out, or he can upgrade his consumer account to business account. But like bank accounts of a single bank of a single branch, he can't have multiple PayPal accounts.

It is not advisable to open another Paypal account,If you do,the implication is that you are using new false details(social security etc)to validate the new account and if found out you have two accounts, your Paypal account maybe suspended.

I would say you just contact support with your initial details so you can recover your lost account.I am sure you will be able to get back on doing that.

I had this exact same problem recently, and I even attempted to make a new account with a different email. PayPal stepped in and merged the two accounts together and fixed all of my issues. I must commend them for their customer service there--it was fast and easy, and they got me all set back up.

If you'r having troubles with your password, the first thing you can do is try to check your settings first , if this was not fixed thats the time that you should contact Paypal and of course they can help you fix it. When we talk about the accounts that you can make the answer is "Yes", you can have two paypal accounts only if its a personal one and the other is a business account one. But for 2 Personal accounts and 2 business accounts, I believe that's not possible.

You can only create one account at PayPal because you are doing transactions with them and your corresponding bank at your country. If you are having some problems recovering your account password, why not email them or contact via chat or call. I think they will help you at your concern.

Yes, you can create another paypal account as long as you use different email address and different bank which you have not previously linked. I, myself have experienced it. I decided to make another account because I forgot my password. Good for me because my balance was zero in that previous account.

I wouldn't recommend you to create another Paypal since it may cause future system issues when it comes to payment and receiving money. Also, Paypal doesn't recommend creating multiple accounts.

I have encountered the same issue recently, and NO it is not possible. Once you forget your password, they will send a reset password to your email address. Then they will have the option for them to call you, text you or for you to answer the security questions. Unfortunately, for me, I did not have the registered number and forgot one answer to one of the security questions (they usually ask 2 security questions).

You can create another Paypal account, registering to a new email address. Exactly as what I did.
