When you are successful in uploading your website, the utmost significant thing is to look for a webhosting service. When you choice your webhosting service, you need to deliberate a few things. Since all websites are not equal the webhosting package you need to look for also will change. The following are some of the features you need to examine before selecting your webhost.

  • Storage space
  • Bandwidth
  • Uptime
  • Tools and control panel
  • Technical support
A great support system is very vital for you, and should be accessible, or on call 24 hours a day, in case you encounter a problem and need it solved, at whatever time of day. This could save a lot of time as opposed to having to wait a day or two to have a problem fixed, while keeping customers waiting. Make sure that the web-hosting company deals unlimited bandwidth as this would mean that it loads rapidly and holds more information on your website. Space is also another significant issue to deliberate for this would dictate how much you can accommodate or store. Having more space means that you can include extra graphics on your website.

When you are looking forward to select a good webhosting company, it is better to make sure that the company is able to support common programming languages like CGI Pearl scripts, PHP, ASP and Java. Even though, you might not use these features in the beginning, it will sure be useful in the future.

A good webhosting company will provide free sub domains and domain Email with his hosting package. These Sub domains and domain Email will be useful for the business. The service provider should provide you additional service without upgrading the whole package.

A good service provider generally offers free scripts, software programs and scripts. This is save a lot of time to administrators and web developers and this saved time can be spend for marketing purpose.

A good web hosting company is always sensitive to the needs of its clients. Such companies that put customer satisfaction ahead of all other things in their operations have excellent customer helpdesks to ensure users do not go through unbearable headaches. The time it takes for a webhost to attend to the needs of your website shows the webhost's sensitivity to your needs. How fast does the webhost resolve issues? If you can successfully answer such questions, you can be sure of landing a very reliable web hosting company.

Good Web hosting has the ability to make your business website global with its cheap web hosting features, and without compromising its quality. 2. Built with advanced technology.
  3. Data Security.
  4. 100% SSD Storage.
  5. It should be cheap and affordable.

What to look out for in webhosting companies? Six main criteria of choosing the right webhosting company.

1. How much disk space is available?

This would really depends on what you want to have a website for. Is it for a company? Or is it your personal site? Are you going to upload lots of multimedia files and photos? Or are you mainly using it for text based pages? This would ranges from 10 Gigabytes for personal text based pages to 300 Gigabyte for businesses.

2. How much bandwidth is provided?

For all the different webhosting plans that a company offer. You will have to decide on the bandwidth that you requires. This closely relate to your disk space usage. If you are planning to have lots of multimedia on your website. It would be better to get a plan with higher bandwidth allowance. Typical bandwidth limits starts from 300 GB for a basic webhosting plan up to 3,000 GB for a business webhosting plan.

3. What kind of support will be provided?

Because you would need to remotely administer your website. It is important to consider the kind of support that your webhosting company has. Is the support 24 hours, 7 days a week? What are the forms of support? Toll free phone? Email support is a norm nowadays.

4. Reliability of the webhosting service?

What is the uptime promise? With today's advancement in server technologies, uptime of 99.9% are often provided by some of the web best webhosting firms.

5. Pricing of webhosting plans?

With the number of webhosting companies increasing, webhosting plans now are very competitive. Most basic plan offered by webhosting companies ranges from $5 to $10 per month. Anything more than that would be kind of a rip off.

A very important point about price plan for your consideration is that it is a recurring fee that you need to pay per month (or annually). Some webhosting companies would give you very good discount initially, however, if the monthly fees are higher that the rest, in the long run you are actually at the losing end.

6. What are the freebies that the webhosting company is going to provide?

This is actually a very important point. No matter what is the purpose of your website, the bottom-line is that you would like to draw traffic to your website. There is no easier way than using pay per click advertising through search networks. Some top webhosting firm will actually give you free credits vouchers to be used in the search network.

I think it depends on your content. If you run some blog with sensitive or controversial information, you should definitely look for privacy and anonymity orientated hosting. Many Anonymous VPS are allowing you to buy space without revealing your real name. And when it comes to payments, only anonymous BTC payments are accepted. Based on their location, you should be able to choose offshore hosting with different jurisdictions. Many of these offshore hosting companies ignore DMCA & copyright issues. So as I said, it all depends on your content and how much you value your privacy.

You can follow these points while you are choosing the best hosting company for you:
-Check the web host’s server uptime record
-Check if they offer multiple add-on domains
-Ask about the company’s refund policy.
-Find out what a basic contract offers.
-Check for specialty features.
-Always check the reviews

Some hosts specialize in certain types of hosting such as WordPress or Dedicated Hosting. Determine your needs first and than look at hosts that specialize. While budget is a major factor for many people it should not be your deciding factor. Choosing the cheapest host may work out sometimes, but not always.

With choosing the cheapest host sometimes comes great risk that their support and infrastructure is a similar match to their hosting prices.

The size of a host is not the issue. It is how they treat their customers and the service they provide. None of the large hosts started out large. They all started small one customer at a time. Some of the best hosts are ones that you may never have heard of.
  • Make sure features match your needs
  • Support is able to help you if needed and is there for you
  • Pricing matches your expectations of the service level you require
  • Infrastructure provides excellent uptime so that your site is always online
  • Upgrade ability on the fly so you can increase resources as your website grows
  • Go to neutral sites such as here, Webhostingtalk and others that provide real reviews by actual customers. Those sites that say these are the 10 best hosts are simply affiliate marketers that receive money from recommending those brands. Most will only recommend the ones with the highest referral payouts, not the ones that provide the best service.
