What is the difference between normal hosting and cloud hosting ?

Hey @Pocomaster,

That's a great question and one that comes up a lot in this industry!

Cloud hosting is usually load balanced across a selection of servers, this means that if SERVER A goes down, then sites will still be available via SERVER B. It offers more resilience and redundancy.

That said however, nothing stops traditional (normal) hosting from being just as resilient if setup in such a manner.

The term "cloud" is misuse for many things theses days but a real cloud is a cluster of dedicated servers so you get the power and resources of all servers at the same time instead of just one dedicated server.

A hosting on a cloud is usually more expensive than a regular hosting on a single dedicated server because of the benefits you get.
