How do I setup browsing website with IP?

Hello,
While working on technical seo of a Website, I found that setting up browsing the website by IP is a important fact. Can anyone please tell me that how can I setup browsing my website by ip address?

Hello,

It's not an important fact, and it's not possible on a shared hosting plan. You should not worry too much about other settings than a proper redirection from www to non-www or vice-versa, and http to https if you have installed a SSL certificate.

It is just another way to getting to your website, and it's not the preferred way either. As long as people can find your website via your domain name you are good. Like our friend said above, just make sure they can find you both with and without the www prefix plus with either http or https prefix.

If you haven't point your website to your current web hosting provider's server then it's fine to run the website using IP address of their server but it's just for testing purpose. The format of web URL will be like this - http://ip_of_web_hosting_provider's_server/username_of_your_account.

This is nothing but the temporary URL. You can enable it from WHM. You can use only for testing that is if your website is running from other provider's server and you would like to test it from your server as you have uploaded the new website here.

Actually, the opposite is true.

If your website is reachable by www.domain.com & 1.2.3.4, then search engines will see this as 2 separate sites, with duplicate content.

It is better to have your website reachable by domain only, for the same reason it is important to redirect non www traffic to www, or the other way around.

I think that browsing the website by IP is not an important factor. It's just another way to visit. In SEO, it's not good because you will get duplicate content in difference URL. So try to avoid this way. IMO
