I knew Namecheap because I am having domain names there.
Anyway, it is a good list to know some good SSL providers. I will check other providers.

Free SSL is great to start with, but you should keep in mind that even some bad reputation sites or infected ones can get the same free certificate. Such certificate does not require much check-ups on the domain or its owner and the website may not be as secure as you would expect.

Paid certificate, on the other hand, is something you invest in and deceptive sites, do not usually do it. It performs some checks about the domain and its owner depending on the type of certificate and it should be considered more reliable while providing more trust for the website.
