How to copy and paste in ssh?

I am still new to SSH, which commands allow me to copy and paste in ssh? I want to copy any lines in a configuration file and paste it to a new file in ssh.

To copy just select what you need, it automatically gets copied to the clipboard. And to paste just right-click. Whatever is in the clipboard will get pasted in the terminal. Easy!
