You have maybe heard about Mastodon during the last few days ? If not you should take a look at this new social network.
What is mastodon ?
Mastodon, a distributed, open-source version of Twitter, is almost identical to the platform it's based on, but with key differences: posts can run 500 characters rather than 140, and users can make individual posts private. Just in the past 48 hours, the network has grown by 73 percent, to 41,703 users
