Does anyone know of companies that have VPS sets up with dedicated cores? Preferably with SSD storage? I found a company called Schnell Node out of Germany that has this. Schnell Node offers two VPS hosting plans: Cloud VPS and Dedicated CPU VPS. The dedicated CPU VPS is set up with 2 x Intel E5 (3.5GHz+) vCPUs and hyperconverged SSD storage I've been trying some bench marking, but i'm not sure what to compare it to. I included screenshots in this thread.

I tested their starting (aka cheapest) dedicated CPU VPS plan which is called 120GB-R10DSSD and has these specs:

2048MB RAM
2 DEDICATED vCPU
120GB SSD Space - Enterprise Grade SSD
1Gbps Network Port
5000GB Monthly Bandwidth
2 IPv4 Addresses
16 IPv6 Addresses

Download

I used a Cachefly download benchmark script to test out download speeds. I tested download speeds of the course of a couple of days. I ran the tests at random points throughout both the day and night to get a good get picture of the performance of their network. Here are some screen shots showing the results of these random tests.

Here is a screen shot from a few tests ran in the morning of Friday, March 24 2017

And Here is a screen shot taken from tests I ran in the late afternoon of Saturday, March 25, 2017

Among the 7 tests taken over the course of 2 days and as seen in the screenshots above, average download speed was 776.85 MB/s

Upload

Upload speeds usually vary a bit more than download, so running upload tests at different parts of the day and night will give you a good picture of the activity on a hosting company's network. However, I didn't see much variation in upload throughout testing. The screenshot below taken from one of these random tests.

DD
Below is a screenshot of DD command for the I/O performance measurements with data sync from /dev/zero.

FIO Read & FIO Write
In addition to DD for I/O I also ran FIO read and write testing. Results are shown in the screen shots below.

Unixbench Benchmark

I used Unixbench Version 5.1.3 test (Multi CPU) have included a screenshot of the results below.

Overall, looked pretty solid.

I did find another company called Delimiter that offers dedicated core VPS but it didn't have SSD storage. Delimiter's site is showing that their most advanced set up offers 160GB of HDD storage. the one I tested from Schnell Node had 120gb as a starting model.

So I'm curious about dedicated core VPS. I've been looking but can't find too much, but I like the idea of dedicated cores with VPS.

VPS with dedicated cores cost a boom compared to normal VPS hosting. Generally speaking if the hosting company is not over surprising there host system you generally get a dedicated core.

Great bench, great performance, great speed. Don't look for better vps probably you will get slower...
