Unlimited reseller hosting with storefront

Hi all. I was hoping for some advice.

Can you recommend any good reseller hosting? Obviously I would like fast servers, good prices. I would also like unlimited everything and a storefront supplied by the company with 24hr support and livechat (managed by them). So basically, I would like all the bells and whistles at the best prossible price

I did find one supplier (planethippo) that is good but they don't offer a storefront. They do offer unlimited everything as far as I could see and free ssl with all my customers accounts. But they don't give you any discount on domain names (is this standard?).

Can you also provide me with a list of things I should look for when buying reseller hosting?

Is there any free storefronts out there that will integrate will cpanel etc, so that the customer can purchase online and there account is automatically setup?

Hi lostinseo,

I would caution you not to use unlimited as a requirement for your potential provider. There really is no such thing as unlimited. In reality, there are always limits and you need to check the fine print.

Some factors that you could evaluate providers on include: uptime, quality of support (incl. responsiveness) and availability (24/7 support is advertised but does this just mean you can submit a ticket at any time of the day? What level technicians work on the weekend?), price, platform (for example, are they running Cloudlinux because that is the optimal platform for shared hosting), restrictions (are you overly restricted in any way? For example, is overselling allowed? Do you have root access? If not, migrating away from the provider will be more tedious and time-consuming), "upgradability" (can you upgrade to a VPS if you outgrow shared hosting?) and so on.

Not every reseller hosting provider will have a domain reselling program.

Is there any reason why you'd prefer to use a storefront rather than a solution like WHMCS? With a storefront, you'd be tied to that provider.

What's your preferred location and budget?

As has been said many, many times "no such thing as unlimited" anyone who says this is not truthful limits always exist.
If you want a simple fast up and running solution just use WHMCS with a nice theme and your good to go with automation.

I would not worry about selling domains as you won't sell many, the prices by GoDaddy etc cannot be beat on price and but you can link to domain registrars easy from WHMCS if you wish to offer domains.

Just remember you get what you pay for so someone offering unlimited everything + true 24/7 + support for your customers for $15 a month I would approach with caution.
As for who should go with it's one of these things where you just won't know how good the service is until you start using it.

WHMCS is $15.95 a month. That seems very expensive to me. Is there a free version? If yes, is the free version any good or would I need upgrades, etc?

No, WHMCS does not have a free version. You can checkout box billing which is free.

Starting a automated good hosting service does have costs if you want to do things correctly.

There is nothing is unlimited in the world.

You can use box billing to start but i will call it as dead script as there is no updates and support for a long time.

It is only unlimited if you do not reach the limits so if you feel you need to host 10 sites on a reseller account most provides just provide 25 sites that you can use and keep them running for you don't get hung-up on the unlimited reseller marketing ploy, just go to the provider section and budget $25 dollars for a reseller account and 20 bucks for your own whmcs and start selling, as you grow that reseller account will turn into a vps and then a dedicated server. So jump in and start your company. Have a good day...
