Need HELP on Emails Rejection - Hotmails/Microsoft

Hello,

I have personal cpanel server for personal use but when I tried sending an e-mail to my other hotmail account and it appears that the IP address of my webhost is blacklisted from Hotmail.

Why Microsoft always block new IP's for emails.

The failure e-mail I received states the following:

This message was created automatically by mail delivery software.

A message that you sent could not be delivered to one or more of its
recipients. This is a permanent error. The following address(es) failed:
[email protected]
host mx4.hotmail.com [65.55.92.168]
SMTP error from remote mail server after pipelined end of data:
550 SC-001 (SNT004-MC3F7) Unfortunately, messages from XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX weren't sent. Please contact your Internet service provider since part of their network is on our block list. You can also refer your provider to http://mail.live.com/mail/troubleshooting.aspx#errors.
Reporting-MTA: dns; server.example.com

Can anyone tell how to solve this error completely.

The IP must have been blacklisted previously, do you DKIM signing and SPF active on CPanel?

You're better off using an external SMTP Relay for business transactional emails.

I would try Sendgrid as it's pretty easy to integrate with exim or you could just set it up as external relay.

Hey

A really good idea would be to use a system like Mandrillapp. I have been using Mandrill for sometime and it works great, do not get a single spam or blacklisted email.

One other option would be Amazon Web Services SES (https://aws.amazon.com/ses/). I have used them for years for both corporate and personal needs. Really awesome service.

Your server ip is black listed may be

Enabling SPF record and DKIM won't resolve this issue as the network is blacklisted where your domain/VPS is hosted. Since network is blacklisted, it doesn't mean the spamming took place by your hosting area. It can be another VPS or customer which belongs to same your network and sent spam mails which impacted on you too.

So in this case, first check whether spamming has been took place from your hosting area, if you are sure it didn't from your service, contact your hosting/VPS provider and ask them to take action against spammer.

If your IP is for instance 1.1.1.1 and spamming took place from 1.1.1.2 and if hotmail block network 1.1.1.0/24 of course you are blocked because whole subnet they have blocked.
