Do you believe that online marketing is more efficient than offline marketing? And which is the tougher? Although I do not have much of knowledge about "offline" marketing but I think that, "offline marketing" is quite time consuming.

Yes, definitely online marketing is more effective than offline marketing because here we get more profit in less time and it's very easy to manage than offline marketing strategy also.

Both have pros and cons

I depends what type of people your customers are. If your target customer is a young person then online marketing is great, for other customers traditional marketing such as print or radio may be more effective.

Online marketing is by far cheaper and you have a lot of flexibility to track results. Personally I would stay with online marketing at the start and then begin testing offline marketing when in a position to do both.

It's pretty simple and the terms are self-explanatory. Online marketing refers to promotional channels that are used on the internet such as Facebook, YouTube, blogs and forums. It's pretty common these days since it's so inexpensive and easy to reach the target audience. As far as Offline marketing is concerned, it involves traditional marketing techniques like billboard and TV advertisements.

Its pretty obvious that online marketing is more powerful than offline marketing but using these two method will surely give you a brand awareness and good reputation from your targeted audience.

Nowaday, i believe marketing online is more effective than marketing offline. Because most of people are using internet via smartphone or computer. It is easier to promotion your brand business or products.

Yes marketing online is the most effective way of marketing!

But remember, your offline customers are going to be your customers with a bigger budget.

So I have many online customers and I have gained many offline customers through craigslist. But the best paying customers are ones I found paying for yellow book ads, had a website but wasn't ranking, and I walked right into their office with a business card and a personality.

In the beginning I offered a free competitive analysis right there in front of the client. And that was my hook.

These clients are on at least $1000 a month retainer. I now outsource everything and play on my computer :D needless to say.

Now, once you are a large corporation, you can be online and charge whatever you want. For the small people, we are forced to give deals to online customers as SEO and web work is out-sourced to developing countries. It's why I outsource. i.e. YOu can get articles written on the web for $1-$5 and I've found some decent article writers for that price. I can't compete with that, nor would I want to.

So there comes the conflict of working for less as web consumers become more internet savvy. Then again there will always be the skeptics that like to deal face to face with people.

Online marketing is more profitable and successful than offline marketing. Making the promotional compaign you can be absolutely sure that your advertisement will be seen and recognizable in the whole world. Offline marketing can`t do that.

Moreover online marketing campaign will be significantly cost effective.

Well i would say that it depends on how good you are at online or offline marketing.

But yeah online marketing is easy and more effective.
You work from the comfort of your home and that's it :D

This is not completely wrong. If i can copy and paste a Craigslist ad in multiple cities in a couple of minutes and see a humongous turn around then how is marketing online more effective? On Craigslinst you are dealing with people who are offline.

I can find an article writer on the web for $5. Post a craigslist ad as a content marketing specialist, and sell articles for $20. No work just resell to local customers.

The online customer primarily know about all the gig sites and will just go to any site, but the craigslist shoppers pretty much only use craigslist. And I have made some big $$ with advertising on Craigslist for free!

But we can learn everything :)

Online marketing is cost-effective as compared to off-line marketing. Online marketing allows you to more accurately target your designated demographic, while offline gives you a more general demographic.

According to me online marketing and offline marketing both are beneficial. There are pros and cons for both, so I think the best approach is to use them together. Both techniques are important to get success in your business.

It always amuses me when people start talking about online marketing VS offline marketing. If it wasn't for direct mail marketing (offline) there would be no internet marketing.

I'm a die-hard IM but I would have to be crazy to ignore all of the offline marketing channels available: direct mail, post cards, newspaper ads, radio ads, infomercials, signs, telemarketing, just to name a few.

The problem is that most people have no idea what it takes to market there business offline. Direct mail is probably the most effective method. Did you know that Google uses direct mail to sell online ads? Did you know that master online marketers like Frank Kern and Russell Brunson both use telemarketing to sell high end coaching and consulting? They are not the first nor will they be the last.

It is also ignorant to say that online marketing is more cost effective. I would say that if that is the case your probably not spending much anyways. My last fb campaign was more expensive than my last direct mail campaign. I would also suggest that most proclaimed internet marketers are not keeping track of what they are really spending on online marketing.

If anything I would say that online marketing is a little more verseital than offline marketing in a way. Online marketing provides for classified ads (google ads), tv ads (video and youtube) and infomercials, radio (podcast). It's all in one place and easier to access.

The bottom line is you should definitely be using both online marketing and offline marketing as some other above have already suggested. A chair can not be supported by one leg and neither can your business survive with one method of marketing.

It really depends on the industry that you are involved in. I find that the largest customers I am able to secure are located by direct B2B (Business-to-Business) marketing. Meaning, I walk business to business and pitch the services that I offer. About 64% of our revenue is generated by marketing our services this way. The remainder is primarily generate from forum posts, such as this one.

Yes I agree with you 100%. There is no one size fits all. It really just depends which advertising avenue(s) are more effective for your industry or niche. You just have to track & test any advertising source that you decide to try. Ones that work: keep 'em! Ones that don't: replace them or ditch them.

You'd actually be quite surprised. You're going to have to handle a lot of objections, what you're going to want to do is work your ass off to get those 3 local businesses on board, try to make sure they are well known in your community. Go out of your way, make them feel special, give them a higher level of service than you would provide your highest paying customer even if you're only getting $6.99 per month out of them. Once things are going smooth, ask for referrals. Go approach those referrals and go from there.

Once you've got a few well known local businesses under your umbrella, you can use that to your advantage. Point out to those who you approach, mention said businesses, mention how your services have benefited them.. Use your customers as references, if they are happy, they will recommend you if someone calls them and asks.

Eventually people start talking, word gets out in the business community... When it does, nothing will stop you from signing up everyone in the town you knock in.

Offline marketing is very traditional and diverse. It is slower than online marketing. Online marketing is fast and you can get customers world wide just by advertising on different social media networks.
