After Linode announced their $5 plan with 1GB RAM, Vultr strikes back.

You get 512MB VPS for $2.5 or a 1GB RAM VPS for $5.

Now they may even be better than Linode. I love this "price war". Waiting to see what DigitalOcean will do to their prices.

Its an interesting move from them however I do wonder if the uplink speed will remain the same after so many small users jumping on baord.

Also I do also wonder how they will keep up with the support quality.

I do like to see competition like this as it benefits the consumers the most.

I've been testing Vultr recently having had a bad experience the last time I used them - thankfully it seems these issues have been cleared up.

I spun up a $5 1GB RAM instance and put a production site on it, everything seems to be running smoothly. Now there prices are far more competitive than Digital Ocean and on par with Linode. I'd still use them over Linode any day though, mainly because of Linodes history with security.

That's an awesome, I've just upgrade my plan without paying more 2GB RAM with 40GB SSD, just only $10/mo. That's so good.
