We're new to them so we just wanted to try their servers first using their free $250 credits. However, their credits/balance system is displayed in a very confusing way.

1) Why is there a negative "account balance?" but highlighted in color green.
2) Then there's red color (which we assume how much charge we already consumed?)
3) Then the third amount which is what we assume is the remaining from the free $250 credits?

My question is, are we still gonna be charge by the total of that red text? or is it only AFTER it exceeds the amount of $250?

Sorry if my question is dumb or my grammar is terrible as english is not my native language.

Thanks to anyone who could enlighten me!

Hello,

I understand your confusion regarding the display of the credit/balance system of the hosting provider you are currently trying out. Let me try to help you with your questions:

  1. The negative "account balance" displayed in green could be a bit misleading. Typically, green is associated with positive numbers, while red is associated with negative numbers. However, some companies use green to indicate a favorable balance, even if it's negative. So, in your case, it's possible that the negative balance is green because it's within the range of the free $250 credits.
  2. The red amount displayed could be the total charges you have incurred so far. It's possible that the hosting provider deducts the charges from the free $250 credits until they are fully consumed.
  3. The third amount displayed is probably the remaining balance from the free $250 credits. Once the balance is fully consumed, you may start to incur charges based on your usage.
To answer your question, you will only be charged once your total charges exceed the $250 credit. Until then, you can continue using the service without incurring any charges.

I hope this helps clarify your concerns. If you have further questions, please don't hesitate to ask.
