Which VPS hosting company has the most knowledgeable/expert support? And I'm talking about real experience and skills. Not just installing a LEMP stack and configuring Nginx. A support team that can debug an unusual issue and help you with your problem. A support team that is detail-oriented and properly does their job, not just do it so they can get it over with as fast as possible.
Most of the VPS hosting providers I've seen use cheap outsourced support. There's nothing wrong in outsourcing your support, but at least pick a quality company, not the cheapest one you can find. In such cases, the most their support team knows is configuring a simple LEMP/LAMP stack with WordPress. Nothing more.
I'm not talking about fast and good support like LiquidWeb. Yes, they are fast and they are good, but they have their limits. They won't help you with your very specific issue with postfix and randomly blocked ports or whatever. They will, however, promptly help you with your WordPress/Apache issue.
I know all hosting companies have different management levels (ie what they will and will not do). I'm looking (for informational purposes only) for a support team that has learned Linux first, then web hosting second. Not the other way around.
Most of my (and my clients') experiences with VPS hosting support is subpar. And no, they are not EIG. The problem is that they are experienced in web hosting support, not Linux support.
So...My questions is: which Linux VPS provider has the best (expert) Linux support?
