I'm kind of new to this, so I was wondering if reseller VPS was a thing.
If it is, how good of an idea is it?

If you mean reselling VPS yes it is a thing. Many providers will allow you to resell their VPS products.
It's a tough market just as is the whole hosting business but you should be able to make a profit reselling.

VPS reselling is something that most resellers go for.

Actually, we have noticed that more and more of our resellers prefer to resell our VPS plans than our Shared Hosting.

We have white label reseller program and our customers operate under their own brands.

And because most webmasters are looking for VPS hosting (because they want faster and more stable service than Shared Hosting) you can easily sell more VPS than Shared Hosting.

Also, all developers prefer to host their projects on VPS (or Dedicated Server) .

Best Regards,

For reselling VPS make sure you have white label IP address so it will be more easy for you to resell VPS.

VPS (virtual private server) virtual private server and shared server means.”VPS ” servers they use same hardware and same operating system kernel. If the host operating system is Linux, server Linux, Windows, VPS Windows service able to get u a Dr. In addition, the public processor, shared disk, and shared RAM are available to use. Non-virtual is a state of a real server using more than one person.

I just don't see how reselling VPS is ever a good idea. The majority of VPS reseller plans I have seen pigeon hole the seller into selling at a significantly higher price than the host sells their VPS for to even break even (usually because a VPS creation limit is imposed).

Main thing in this is you need to add some extra value like free / basic management of the server or monitoring of a few important services . If you are selling just the same vps at a higher price then the business wont run longer as at some point some of the customers might get an idea on the original provider and you can loose them.

So main point is in adding additional value to the service you are providing which the original provider is not providing. You can get some discount as well from reselling the servers as well. So it will help you to get some business. Once business is established, you can setup your own infrastructure and can move those vps to your infrastructure and there onwards you can get more profit

Reselling vps from a provider is an initial idea, logically you should not stick to this template for too long. Once your business is booming you will need to migrate your customers to a structure of your own.

I think it is going to be very difficult to get to a place of "booming business" on a VPS reseller plan, simply because it is going to make it difficult to expand your profit margins unless you have a great excuse to get people to pay a lot for your resold servers.
