Do you hire a writer or write your own content for your hosting site?

The cost to hire a writer can be a lot, if you want original content, not just spun articles.

When you want a blog article or new content for your hosting, do you hire it done or write for yourself?

Quality writers can cost a lot however if they are familiar with SEO and how to make the article SEO optimized then it is worth the price.
I personally do not do it myself and instead leave it to a good friend who is a graduate English literature writer. (used for blog not hosting)

I will soon be looking for a good writer to write blog posts on our new design for Luxin Host.

if you know a good place to look for someone please let me know

It is a wise way to find a good writer than writing content for yourself, but you could have difficulty in finding a writer to write about web hosting field.

You can try to find on freelancer sites but I am sure you will need to see their portfolio before hiring them. I also have problems when hiring some low quality writers for my blog.

I hire writers, I find that my articles that I have written to not be of great quality.
There have been a few bad apples, but once I found 2 good writers, I give the jobs to them. It's been a good experience to both of us.
I've found UpWork to be of a general better quality than many other sources.

You alone understand your business, its nature and your plans.
So it is better to develop your website content by your self.
However, if you wish to get someone to write for you, you will still need to do a bulk of the work, providing topic, guidelines and topics.

I think it's better to write your own content in the beginning, so that you can set a tone for your website. Maybe after you get better website traffic and more users, then that might be a good time to hire help to pick up the slack on content.

If you get into a routine of writing 2-3 articles a day, you could have 60-90 articles in just a month!

I do all my own. The more you do it, the easier it is. Just need lots of research, time and patience and a pretty damn good spelling and grammar checker.

Sure you could pay a LOT to someone to write the content for you, but I would only recommend that if they were excellent! It is no good when you pay someone a fair bit, and they half-heartedly do the work, and you have to keep asking them to tweak the content, etc. because if that is the case, then you might as well write it yourself.

We write our own content. If someone is running a hosting company they should be educated enough to write the content.

I also agree with writing your own content, AND if you are going to hire a writer...just make them write the article in a Word document or text file and send it to you. Then you can do final edits and post when need be. There's no reason to give anyone login details.
