A new chapter for eNom

Just received notification that Tucows has bought Enom. http://www.enom.com/blog/a-new-chapter-for-enom/

This is pretty big news. Anyone have any opinions on Tucows and how they are with their domain name service?

Surprising news, but should be good overall for the Industry by creating some competition between some of the mega registrars.

Tucows is OpenSRS, which is a fine domain registrar. Nothing particularly outstanding to note, but additionally, they are not known for being problematic or difficult to work with. I imagine they would get better with this acquisition. I imagine there will be some transfer of technology from eNom to OpenSRS and vice versa.

I wouldn't have guessed this would happen, but I can't say it is surprising.

Enom and OpenSRS have been quality registrar's for years. Hopefully good things to come!

I've never had any issues in all the 7 years I've been using then. I hope service continues to be excellent.

I've heard good things about Tucows. Haven't used them myself, but they should be good.

For a second there, before I actually read the whole story, I just read "eNom has been bought by...". I got a mini heart attack. Though they were bought out by EIG. :bash:

Two of the largest registrars aimed at resellers getting together is only a good thing - hopefully things get better for us as resellers in the future.
