Sometimes my MySQL is crashed and I would reinstall it or upgrade it to a higher version. If the option for reinstalling mysql is not possible, I would know how to reset the mysql installation, that can fix any issues on Mysql that i am facing now.

I would suggest looking into the reasons why MySQL is crashing before re installing or upgrading.
You cannot "reset" MySQL only remove and reinstall it, I would suggest you make sure it has been removed completely using the package uninstaller or uninstall script if compiled from source.

Reinstallation is not the solution at all. You can either upgrade it and if its still failing then you have to go through the mysql error logs to see whats crashing it actually. May the mysql sock connection can be the issue many times and it can be fixed quickly and easily.
