How many sites can I build with $200?

If you need a custom website working on a custom CMS, its will cost you around the 1,000$, if you planning for a simple site, you can build each one for around the 30-50$, talk with freelancers,

about using a WP template, some of the templates cost around the 35-40$ on some of the website,

The prices changing for the use of the website, to say I want a a lot of website for 200$ to get from them more money... its strange and not professional, if you want get more money, buy lemons , water and sell lemonade.

They are just simple and small site, I don't think i can start a new site at $1,000

I am not going to sell lemonade like this

Although it was a game I played and earned millions of dollars

No one can answer that. You can build a site for as low as the hosting fees + domain name if you have the knowledge on how to, or you can hire someone. Probably just a single site with that budget.

I would consider a basic reseller account. Doesn't have to be used to resell hosting, but you can then create separate cPanel accounts for each website. It makes life so much easier when you later want to sell the site or give a developer access to 1 of your sites and not all.

You are right, no one can answer exactly how much I will spend on per site because I can not reveal my business idea before they are applied on real sites and as said, they are different small sites with different niches.

Good advice, maybe reseller will work for this case. Alternative to reseller plan and to cut cost for many sites is buying a VPS and install a free hosting control panel to add websites to?

I think with $200 budget, you can buy a domain + $10/mo VPS hosting then build hundred of website on it. Using free open source website such as Wordpress or Joomla to build. However the number of website that your VPS can handle is based on the traffic each site has. The more traffic one site has, the low number of site hosted on the server. IMO

It depends, but if you want to get properly optimized in code/css and security you can get only one website and only simple one.

Well sometimes it can cost over $10,000, are you willing to pay that much starting off with $200? :rolleyes2:

No matter how low the cost can go, having more than 2 maybe 3 website, can be a lot of work. Are you up to that? why don't you just stick with one website and focus all of your hard work and dedication on it? I don't wanna prattle but eventually those websites will cost you more than $200!

So get your perseverance on one website and when you generate income, start off with another one!

If you're designing and developing the website yourself/with a small team that you dont need to pay i'd say you could easily build from 4 to 6 websites. I make my calculations on how much does a .com domain cost and about hiring a hosting company which revolves around 40$ for both.

If you need to hire someone and your website is a bit simple, I guess you could build two websites if let's say you hire someone for 50$ to do the job.
