Google's New Mobile Index

Hi Everyone,

Looks like Google is making BIG changes to the SERPS and being mobile compliment will now be essential.
According to Google a mobile index and a desktop index will exist in the future.

I'm not surprised at all. Google has been pushing the need for Mobile speed for a while.

Yes they are talking about that for a while, but using AMP on anything else than Ghost is pretty hard.
So if you are not in love with NodeJS yet, you should give a try :icon_mrgreen:

I think this makes everyone focus on building a friendly template and responsive theme for their websites to work best on mobile devices, also Google will increase their revenue on advertising on mobile devices like Facebook is getting it now. It is benefit for themselves then users change their templates into responsive design to fit new Google algorithm.

As long as it provides consumers with better results, I'm all for it. Glad I added mobile compatibility. People use phones soon as they wake up and right before they go to sleep (another topic there) and so a no brainer.

Honestly, Mobile is something that should of been considered when building your website as far back as 2012/2013. With that being said, it still surprises me just how many websites have yet to start catering to mobile users. Especially since Google had already been including mobile into the SERP Rankings for sometime now.

Google earns from ads so they look to maximize their ads exposure and mobile is big marketing place.
More and more ppl use mobile internet and ofc we need to follow that trend.
