Do hosts only care about new customers?

I can't speak for other web hosting companies but I can tell you that we care about each and every customer. They're part of our story, our success and the reason why we've made it to where we are. Without your customers you're nothing.

Every time we introduce a price drop, new offer, new feature or something else we automatically give this to our existing customers. We recently dropped our prices and increased our bandwidth offerings and gave this to each and every one of our existing customers. They just logged on one day and their bills were smaller than normal.

You should treat each customer equally regardless of how much they spend with you, treat them how you would like to be treated in a store.

Every customer is important for web hosts as in the current situation a customer retained is a customer saved. But web hosts usually offer discounts only to new customers and recurring customers are given no discounts. Thus existing customers feel left out and sometimes leave the web host in enticement of getting a discount.
