OVH, why? because of:
Low price
DDoS Protection
99% Uptime
Some other providers (online.net, scaleway, kimsufi) are also offering these features but why OVH still preferred.

The only problem they have is disk space, yes they have SSD, but its too low, i would prefer getting normal disk than getting too low SSD, i am talking about OVH plan 1.
I never heard of this, what plan 1 are you talking about? their VPS or dedicated servers?
Do you know some better than OVH?

This offer from scaleway?
€24.99/Month
6 x86 64bit Cores
15GB Memory
200GB SSD Disk
1 Flexible public IPv4
250Mbit/s Unmetered bandwidth

I heard of these VPS hosting companies but not tried all their services.

Vultr, OVH, Ramnode, Linode and Digitalocean? which one can give you best price, specs...for a strong VPS?

I have tried almost all of them by myself and found Vultr and Digitalocean are the best in these all as compare to vps plans. because Vultr and Digitalocean gives services for hourly and which is very usefull in terms of testing purposes. The company like OVH provides good dedicated server but not the best vps service. So if you are looking for the best vps from these company you should go with digitalocean.

Digitalocean is only a cloud hosting service without dedicated server offers and their pricing is not good or can say it is expensive for some newbies want to host their websites on a VPS or cloud hosting.

I would go with OVH or Linode.

For enterprise hosting - Linode all the way.

For budget hosting or personal hosting - OVH.

Digital Ocean

The very first hosting plan with Digital Ocean costs $5 per month, and comes with 512 MB Ram and 1 core. Their $20 per month plan (a plan which we have with them) comes for 2 GB Ram and 2 core. See their pricing: https://www.digitalocean.com/pricing I checked their Wikipedia page and Digital Ocean seems to be a good and reliable hosting company: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DigitalOcean

Linode

I have been recommending Linode to many of my customers since 2011, and they all like it very much. The good thing about Linode is that for $20 per month, we get twice more Ram and the same CPU (processor cores), than we get with Digital Ocean. At the higher plans, things get even better, so as both, the Ram and the CPU with Linode doubles, while with Digital Ocean the CPU stays the same. Also, every extra 1 GB of Ram is important. That is why I like Linode's offer so much more. See Linode's pricing: https://www.linode.com/pricing

Choosing between Digital Ocean and Linode

Linode is better for pricing, but it seems that it had some security problems a few years ago: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Linode
If a company is super sensitive about their data security, they may do a very good research, and they they may find out that Linode had security problems in the past. At the same time Digital Ocean's reputation seems to be clean. So if one would search for how secure and reliable is the hosting company, they might like Digital Ocean better. But for small and middle sized companies who do not care about "politics" as much as other companies do, then Linode is definitely a good option.

So probably Linode and Digital Ocean are equally good. One has better prices, while the other has a clean history. Both have equally good service, that's why I would equally recommend both.

Vultr

I did not use Vultr, so I can't say anything about them. If they got so many eyes on them, then they should be good company to look at as well.

Recent days I had a VPS server on Vultr, I can say its support is pretty good, around 15 minutes to get answers from their team but its price is higher a bit if compared with the rest (OVH, Ramnode, Linode, Digitalocean)

Honestly? Depende what service you want and who you are. or better if you are a very good server administrator.

Personally, i don like OVH because i always have a lot of problem and assistence not exist, often offline for technical problem..generally i not suggest OVH.

Linode, digital ocean i never use.

But vultr i do some test has cpanel in the option is more confortable

What a great thread - incredibly informative. Of course, whatever service you need depends entirely upon your specific requirements, skill sets and budgetary restraints. For me, price is secondary to performance. I don't want soft dollar headaches for short term hard dollar savings.

I always suggest a provider that has a data-center nearest to your targeted audience.

Vultr and Linode are considered as the cheapest reliable solution available in the market.

This can be solved by using a CDN :)
but anyway, you are exact if you are looking for a decent VPS but with good price then Vultr and Linode is a good option to go with.

Personally they are all useful for anything not important E.G DNS Clusters, storage, testing - Other than that I would not put them into a production environment that was mission critical.

Vultr is a good option for a startup. I run my blog on Vultr for a quite while, and it is really reliable and affordable.

For small blog with less traffic then Vultr is good to go but when your site grows with high traffic, you can have problems with them and can need to upgrade to higher plan because they can temporarily suspend your account if it exceeded RAM by high traffic or a DDOS attack.

I guess it's not OVH...Anyone who's facing difficulties due to OVH data center burning down, I would encourage you to check Disaster Assistance Offer
