How to find out the physical location of a VPS?

My hosting provider is sending info about a VPS to my email, but I have my suspicions the server is not in the location I requested (US). Is there a reliable way to check and find out the physical location of a VPS (using its IP address or server configs)?

You can do a trace route on your VPS or check the location of the IP for your VPS. Both of them should work for you. But I am not sure how accurate they can be beyond the normal Whois and IP locator range.

Locating the IP of a VPS is one good way to do it.

traceroute will be more dependable as you could throw ip using bgp to anywhere in the world

in windows on the run command type "cmd" after it's open type "tracert <yourip>" send me a PM if you need my help
