Hello all

I have today launched a new Linked in group 'web hosting discussion' and am wondering about the following.Has anyone here developed their own LinkedIn group and if so what were your experiences to promote and increase members for a LinkedIn group?

Besides the usual ways of promotion, forums,...are there any other ways of attracting members?

Thanks all

1) Use email to send notifications: Avoid the default message: Craft a message to invite people with a catchy message
Tell them whats instore for them, why they need to join, make it simple and elegant

2) once new members join, ask them to introduce themselves and be active in communication

3) create discussions that interests the group members

4) spread the word wiht the group members

Maybe you can start by joining a group that is similar to the niche that you are in, from then you can see how the people do their posting -- try to participate and some interaction with them. After that you can invite the people from the said group to join your own group but make sure that content will be of high quality.

It totally depends on your niche, create content which is highly relevant to the kind of audience you want to attract and be very active. Consistency is the Key. Constant posting will get you really good results.
