I'm not really a coder and having less experience about coding, I am familiar to Wordpress and created simple wordpress themes by myself. Just curious can I create wordpress themes without using hand codes? are there any plugins to help me build layout for homepage, categories and detail page by drag and drop layouts?

I heard of some names such as Beaver Builder, Page Builder by Site Origin, Velocity Page, Themify Builder, Visual Composer but not sure which one is best for me. Any recommendations if you used a good one for creating wordpress theme by drag and drop?

I've only used visual composer for any length of time. It's a great drag and drop builder no doubt about it. Easy to use. It's defiantly the most popular, which means there are a bunch of add-ons for it, and new ones coming out all the time.

Don't remember having any issues with it. Stopped using it only because I didn't need to change my pages enough to justify another plug-in. I try to use only the bare and necessary of plug-ins. Doesn't always work, because they can be so "cool", but I try :)

Hope that helps.

I have never used one myself but have heard real good feedback about Beaver Builder. Whatever you do, don't use "ThriveThemes Content Builder". I have some friends that were using that for a while, only to find out when you deactivate or delete the plugin you will loose all the content that you created using it.

That's pretty much how they work, Visual composer is gong to be the same thing. They use shortcodes, so without the plugin, the shorts codes wont work.

Gotta love Thrive leads though. :)

That's what some friends had found out. Delete or remove and all is lost. Supposedly Beaver Builder isn't like that, but I have never tried it or even looked into it so I can't say for a fact that it doesn't remove content when it's removed/deleted. I've been told it doesn't but I just have no experience with drag and drop WP plugins, I do everything the old fashioned way! ;)

drag and drop themes are not good as these themes have many limitations since all are not matured to handle everything inside the pot.It is better to choose any friendly theme and and modify by child themes.here you will have full control of your theme at any nicks and corner

"Beaver Builder" - Is amazing. I've also heard alot about it, and used it first hand. This will do you good if your looking for simplicity of your site experience. Hope you enjoy your travels on WordPress :)
