Hey everyone,

I've been having some trouble with the WordPress theme editor in the admin panel. Whenever I try to edit a file, I keep getting this error message: 'Unable to communicate back with the site to check for fatal errors, so the PHP change was reverted. You will need to upload your PHP file change by some other means, such as by using SFTP.'

Has anyone encountered this issue before? And if so, how did you go about fixing it on your hosting? I'd appreciate any advice or solutions to enable editing theme content within the wp-admin for all sites hosted on my server.

Thanks in advance for your help!

This is usually a plugin issue. Do you have any out of date plugins? How many and what plugins do you have installed? Try disabling any unnecessary plugins to see if it fixes the issue.

To resolve the WordPress theme editor issue, consider increasing the PHP memory limit in your server's configuration or by editing the wp-config.php file. Additionally, using FTP or SFTP to upload theme file changes is a reliable alternative if the error persists.
