When migrating my website between hosting providers to a new server, I find that I must reconfigure numerous settings similar to those on the old server to ensure the website works as it did previously. Honestly, I don't enjoy moving websites between hosting servers as it consumes a lot of my time to complete this task.

A while ago I encountered unexpected database compatibility issues and prolonged downtime. I resolved the issue by updating the SQL version.

Migrating websites often presents a range of challenges, particularly when dealing with client migrations. These include:

Conflicts with PHP versions, issues with incompatible or missing extensions.
Database import complications, such as the necessity of CLI for large databases import, manuak encoding adjustments, and fixing disordered databases.
Difficulties in migrating sites with outdated CMS, like the troublesome Joomla 1.5 from early 2010.
Ensuring email functionality post-migration.
Adapting sites from Apache to servers using Nginx + FastCGI or Nginx-CGI, which requires converting .htaccess rules to Nginx configurations.

These are just a few examples among many other potential issues. The hours spent troubleshooting these problems are innumerable.
