I've never published an ebook on Amazon before, just asking how to get initial reviews for a new Amazon ebook?
Does anyone have experience in selling products on Amazon, please give any shares?

I would give out free review copies... The condition being that they leave a review on Amazon... In addition you can use those reviews on your sales copy on other platforms e.g. website. forum special offers etc..

Easy stuff, simply make your book $0.99 for 5 days. Then go to facebook, search for "amazon review exchange" in the groups section. Join those groups and post your book, then mention that you're looking for review exchanges.

You'll get tons of messages from other people who're also looking for reviews on their books. But start by joining the groups and get approved before you make your 5 days special on amazon.

To find more people simply search for "kindle books" groups on facebook, join those groups as well. When you post also mention that you're also doing review exchanges. You'll see other group members offering the same thing, simply approach them and do a review exchange with them.

Only buyers can create reviews on amazon if someone didn't buy your book they can't make a review and rate the book. They can only comment on other people's reviews, that doesn't carry a lot of weight because amazon buyers know that person didn't buy the book. They could have just been paid to post a positive comment, so people look at reviews from buyers.

You'll also need to buy other people's books for $0.99 in order to do a review exchange and this strategy only works in the kindle marketplace, just so you know.

Once you have a lot of reviews and your 5 days special is over then your book will rank high on amazon. The aim here is not to make a lot of money during the 5 days special, it's just to get more buyers and reviews.

You'll make a lot of money once the book is selling at its ordinary price. The more buyers and reviews you have then amazon will promote your book within their site and put it in the most recommended sections and that will attract more buyers and increase sales.

You can run the special every 90 days to gain more exposure.
