HTML or Text emails for Solo Ads?

Hey Guys,
I am setting up a solo ad and series of emails to promote various IM products.
How do you often use text-only email readers or ones that support HTML emails?
Should I just send out HTML based emails or pure links without anchor text?

Generally speaking this is going to be dependent on the autoresponder.... Most autoresponder provides both - HTML and text version as backup for each message... Most email services like 99% have no problems with rendering HTML content... I would go for HTML and if you want have a text version as a backup... As you are looking to implement solo ads - ask the vendor beforehand...
