Google will not be updating PR this year.... and the last update has been more than two years... Forget about PR....!!! That aside PR has always been a smoke screen and only offers a very partial view which I would relate more to how well a website is established but not to be used as to how much G trusts/ranks a website.... To assess a websites value use other metrics such as MOZ DA, Majestic CF/TF etc...

According to Google representatives, there might not be a new update for Page Rank.

As I know Google doesn't care about PR. Last year, John Mueller from Google said "I wouldn't use PageRank or links as a metric. We've last updated PageRank more than a year ago (as far as I recall) and have no plans to do further updates. Think about what you want users to do on your site, and consider an appropriate metric for that." And still it isn't update yet. As I know last updated was on December 6, 2013. Basically, Google is careful about PR.

PageRank is still a factor in the search algorithm. Google has just stopped updating the data publicly. Internally, it is updated every day and they use it.

These days I think it's just about PA (Page Authority) & DA (Domain Authority). I guess Pagerank has some value but not like it once did to me nowadays I think it's about how often a page gets crawled and how quick pages get indexed.

Google PR and search engine rankings are the two different things and your Google PR doesn't necessarily guarantee to have better search engine rankings. I have seen many websites with very low PR maintaining a first page listings on Google over the period of time by doing regular SEO on your website in the right manner.

PageRank is still very important for the rankings of websites but Google decided not to let others that are not working for Google know what the PR for a website is.

A lot of people think that Google stopped using Pagerank but they haven't. They just don't want people to know whay it is so their rankings can not be as easily manipulated.

SEO and most web masters have moved towards MOZ or majestic's metrics now for a more accurate measurement of a site's value since google's announcement of PR being dead.

Anyway, if you have a high moz or majestic rank then you are as good as being 'high pr' as we used to say years ago.

Page rank doesn't exist but it algorithm is still in the Google core algorithm. Google have to have a way to grade each website.

I never saw PR as a factor to build around my SEO plan. It was just a metric discovered by Google and nothing else. It has been stopped by Google like an year ago.

Now a days, Google doesn't consider PR any more. Google consider, PA DA of the website i.e how much the website is more authoritative and get quality back links.

It is not a metric discovered by Google. It is a metric created by Google and very much used by them today.

Google absolutely does not care about PA or DA of any website on the planet. That is just not true at all.

They would never use a third party metric like that in their algorithm. Ever.

I've read somewhere that Google's Page Rank has officially shut down its toolbar for the public for about a year now.
