Choosing the correct topic or niche for your blog will make or break your success as a blogger 99.9% of the time.

If you want to build a successful blog then you're going to be spending a lot of time working on it.

In fact you're going to be practically married to it. If you choose the wrong topic you'll end up divorced, if you choose the correct topic you'll enjoy being married to it.

I agree that this sounds a bit silly, but all jokes aside it's completely true.

The first step of building a successful blog is to choose a topic that you're passionate about more than anything.

Don't build a blog about a subject that you have no interest in, build one around a passion that you already have.

You're going to want to write about the subject, really want, not have too!

So the first step is to choose a topic that you are passionate about.

What happens if you have no passions?

If you're not certain what your passions are, then take a walk down the magazine aisle in a supermarket and take note of what magazines you
are drawn to first.

There's a good chance that you always look here first, this is probably a passion that you didn't know existed.

What happens if you have a passion but no education?

I don't mean to sound rude here, but if you have no education about a subject then you don't really have a passion for the subject. You probably have a liking for a subject, which is fine, but in order for you to become passionate about a subject then you need to be educated in the subject.

Don't worry if this is you right now because you can get educated quite easily, all you need to do is research research research!
