I am going to buy a domain for offering my web products on it

But I don't know which one I should choose. For examples, 2 domain names like that: MyProduct(.)com and MyProducts(.)com, and

Which one would be best in your view? which one will you vote? - the singular or the plural?

Notice that the plurals get more traffic and friendly with Search engines?

I always get the plural version because, for SEO purposes, it covers both the singular and plural versions of the keyword in whatever search phrase is typed into the field.

Thanks for your suggestion but I think about trademark purpose, it should use Singular then will be better, right?
And which cases should we should Singular and Plural for our domain names? any its advantages?

If your product has a trademark you want to use in the domain, then that would work, but for the product itself I would use plural for the SEO advantage.

For example, your domain should be cheapfutons.com, rather than cheapfuton.com because then your domain covers both search phrases, such as "Where can I buy a cheap futon?" and "Where can I buy futons for cheap?"

Sometimes the singular version sounds as good as the plural even though most people would probably go for the plural. For instance, DancingLesson.com sounds as good as DancingLessons.com. Nonethless, I'm sure DancingLessons.com is worth far more than the singular. Actually, the justification for the higher value could be a situation where more people are searching for the plural.

I would most likely try to choose plural for SEO reasons too. But it depends on a lot of things, and ultimately comes down to personal choice.

buy both and choose one for main site usage. I try not to buy a domain and leave open the possibility of someone else buying the plural or singular version to take advantage of the work I did promoting and building up a domain :)

I do the same thing myself to protect my investment in time and money. Too many people are eager to profit and gain from the work and efforts of someone else rather than creating something themselves.

Choosing between singular and plural domain names will depend on the name itself in many cases and it's not just a case of pick either. Sometimes a singular makes more sense and sometimes a plural makes more sense.

It also depends on the primary language and target audience as sometimes what makes sense in one language does not make sense in another.

EXAMPLES THAT MIGHT LOOK BETTER IN THE SINGULAR FORM IN ENGLISH: (using zzz instead of .com)

MyBikeShop.zzz
PizzaPlace.zzz

EXAMPLES THAT MIGHT LOOK BETTER IN THE PLURAL FORM IN ENGLISH: (using zzz instead of .com)

BuyToys.zzz
CarParts.zzz

It just depends on the name, the use, the language and several other variables.

I do think that you should always buy the other version that you are not going to be using and forward it to the domain that you are using. If for nothing else but to protect yourself from others with less morals, it's worth the small extra investment. ;)
