What's your favorite language for mobile app development?
iPhone uses Objective-C, Android uses Java, and Windows Phone uses C#. I've tried to develop for all these platforms, but I must say, C# is by far the easiest language to develop in. However, C#, as far as my knowledge goes, requires Visual Studio, which is by far heavier than for example Eclipse for Java/Android development.
While both Java and C# are pretty much alike (C# being Microsoft's way of getting Java developers onto .NET), the Objective-C for iPhone requires a lot more training. Most universities doesn't teach Objective-C, so it's a major leap for most students learning Java to try to develop for iPhone.
Have you tried either of these three, and what's your opinion?
