A VPS can run as many IP's as you hosting provider will allow you to use.. There is nothing else you need to be able to runultiple IP's.

Just remember, you will need proper justification before your host will give you more IP addresses.
You can already run multiple websites on a single IP, so multiple websites usually will not count as proper justification.

all you have to do is get the ip routed to the server, then just assign an ip to each domain that will use it. If you're running a control panel it's really easy, most have a register ip option and assign ip to a specific domain option too. All depends on what your setup is

Have you asked your hosting provider these questions? How many IP addresses do you currently have with your hosting package? Like was mentioned earlier, running multiple websites is not justification for more IP addresses. Are there any specific reasons you need IP addresses for each of them?

If I use separate Cloudfare on each website, it can consider as a single IP?

I am learning SEO and I have read posts on the forum each website should be putted on separate IP, it will be good for SEO.

I have WHM and cPanel. For that, where should I add a new IP?

>> If the websites are hosted on a single account / server. DNS A record of the domains is one which points to the single IP address by default unless you have mapped it to separate IPs.

>> That's true. Per new Google policy.

>> You can easily add the new IP address from the WHM >> IP Function > Add a new IP Address. [Purchase new IPs from the hosting provider if you have not before adding].

You could misunderstand my question at this point, I want to ask about using Cloudfare to change my IP on each website. Google will use my real IP or Cloudflare's IP address?

Yes, I have one which can't share here publicly, yet it demonstrates when you check the DNS records. In the event that you have any domain essentially check the PTR record of the domain, which cloudflare don't set it. It is set by the hosting provider.

1. Configure and UP network interface with your IPs (eth0, eth0:1, etc.)
2. Configure apache virtual hosts

I would like to know about that tool.

Besides, we can check and find real IP of cloudflare's sites without using tools. I want to do that manually.

If you use cPanel, I remember there was an option there to add IPs and set DNS for each one if needed.

You may use a VPS with one IP to host multiple websites. It would be easier to maintain. Basically that is how a shared hosting provider system works.

Obviously you may purchase additional IPv4 by providing formal justification. Make sure you get RDNS accessibility if you are using any control panels like solusvm etc. VPS is usually low specs machine which is meant for light to medium tasks. Managing multiple ips, connected to multiple sites like blogs and other web apps will slowdown your server.

For few light websites you may use single shared IP for them otherwise a dedicated server would be recommended.

Good luck on your project. Cheers

What control panel are you talking to?

I don't think RDNS can help in this case, it helps just pointing to an IP while I need multiple IPs.

Hi @harrygreen90 As far as I can see, the websites which use CDN caching, are publicly recognized with the IP addresses of the CDN caching servers.

I don't think that a CDN is naturally for SEO purposes, as it changes the geographical locations of the hosted server of the static content, due to caching. At the same time, any CDN makes a website to load faster to the Internet users and this helps and makes it faster.

As far as for setting up IP-based websites in cPanel/WHM, you'd do that from "WHM >> Account Functions >> Change Site's IP Address" or "WHM >> List Accounts >> Change IP address". You need to choose the account first and then you'd click on the icon left to the account name. Then a drop down menu displays and you'd see option "Change IP address". However, you need to get these IPS from your web host first.

I agree with you, CDN just makes our website better with improments on speed, which is useful for SEO.

I would like to know about that tool.
If you are on terminal, you can use ping command to trace an IP address from a cloudflare site.

You only need 1 IP address, because most hosting providers, have their own DNS servers that you can use. And keep in mind that most hosting companies charge $3 a month per extra ip! Having said that there is nothing wrong with hosting multiple websites off of a single ip.
