How do you configure DNS records for a subdomain?

Hi all, I'm trying to configure DNS records for a subdomain and I'm not quite sure how to do it. Can anyone walk me through the basic steps and provide some guidance? Specifically, I'm using a domain registrar that allows me to manage my DNS records, and I'd like to set up a subdomain for my website. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Simply created A record for a subdomain by analogy with the domain, if the domain and subdomain on the same server it makes sense to create a CNAME record for the domain, there is also a special value @ which designates all subdomains. As a rule, the domain registrar has instructions.
