I would suggest if you want to use the full resources of your Virtual Machines, then don't use any control panel and try to setup the LEMP of LOMP (OpenLiteSpeed, MariaDB, PHP) which is the best-performing stacks for me till now.

If you are not that techy to manage such Stacks then go for some lite Control Panel options like CyberPanel, and CWP for best performance.

Firstly, the question is not fully posed: for what tasks does the VPS need to be optimized, what kind of VPS is, what are its parameters, what OS is installed, etc. and so on. Remember that 70% of solving a problem is asking the question correctly.

Further, I think that you don’t need any other tools other than htop and df - read the manuals carefully, analyze your server and solve problems one by one, according to the list, without trying to tackle everything at once.
