Is it possible to migrate multiple WordPress websites from one provider to another? Do any providers do this?

I can't speak for all Providers, but at FincoHost, we do this for free.

WordPress Website migration is not a big deal though so I guess it's the same for most others

It's possible, but not always straightforward to do it yourself. We use Rocket.net, I just saw they posted a blog on their website about migration - could be handy!

I think more providers will not do this because they only support on hosting issues, hence you should contact them before purchasing their service.

Good luck.

It depends on which control panel you are using. The average host will do it and for free because they are hungry for new customers. But if your old and new host is using the same Control Panel like cPanel, then most of the hosts will do it for free. Also, if your Old and new host both have softaculous, then you can just export the backup and restore it in the new host's softaculous. Lots of WordPress plugins can help you migrate the site like Updraft.

It really depends on your setup. If your websites are stored on cPanel, it is fairly easy to make a cPanel backup and then restore it at your new host. Just click "Backup" within your cPanel. Most reputable hosts either have a free migration tool for you to use, or you can contact them to restore a backup for you.

Also, you can easily click the "Backup" button to generate a cPanel backup and then use that same function to restore the backup at your new host.

If you don't have cPanel or would prefer to do all of this in Wordpress, there's a really good plugin called All In One Wordpress Migration that will generate a backup of your entire WordPress, and give you a file to download. You can then just load up a fresh install of WordPress at your new host and use the same plugin to upload/import the backup within WordPress.

But many hosts will do all of this automatically for you!

Are you planning to move your WordPress site to a new hosting company or a different server? The biggest risk when switching web hosting or migrating a website to a new server is data loss and downtime.
Both of these can make your website temporarily inaccessible to users and search engines which can result in loss of sales and search engine rankings.

Yes, it is possible to migrate WordPress from one to another hosting provider. The migration can be done in different ways, which will depend on the configuration of the server where it is hosted.

We always offer free migration, it is usally a pretty simple thing once you know what to watch out for and solutions to common problems. There are plugins that make it quite easy such as all in one especially with the addons, I like to use the ftp extension on it.

Many Hosts offer Free Migrations on Shared Hosting (with or without Wordpress). Make sure to check reviews and community feedback before making the next host move. :)

If you decide to transfer your site to another hosting, then you need to choose a reliable hosting provider. I use Bluehost, but you can choose anyone. Every reliable hosting provider has a support team to help you with your site migration. I also recommend connecting site monitoring for the first time after migration. So you can quickly track problems on the site in automatic mode.

We always migrate WordPress sites and email for free as standard, and we will take a look at whatever other kind of site a client might want to migrate and help them out. We do it for a few reasons:

Partly it's because we like to know that everything is good and working on our servers, that there aren't any oddities that are going to break a client site.

Partly it's because we've done it a lot. It's usually a quick and painless procedure, but if there is an issue we usually know where to look to find it and get a quicker fix than most of our clients would.

Partly it's because we like to do a few things in our own way, for example we disabling wp-cron and setting up real cron jobs.

Mostly it's because it's just good customer service. Nobody needs hassle when they are moving from one service provider to another, it should just be easy. If you change your electricity supplier, you do not expect to have to go and unplug one cable coming in to your house and replace it with another one, you expect it just to work, I think it should be the same way with changing web host.

If you're looking to migrate your WordPress website then there are lots of plugins available in the market. With the help of a plugin, you can take backup and restore all the data including SQL Database
Example
1. All in One WP Migration
2. Duplicator
3. Migrate Guru
The above mention steps are just an example of the name of that plugin but you can find more

There are a lot of WP plugins that do this, some are better and some are worse, but with any of them you still need to run through the site manually and check everything is working as it should be after migration.

My favourite WP backup and migration plugin is WPVivid - it just seems to deal with any site we throw at it pretty well.

I think wordpress backup plugin will be suitable to newbies who want to backup fast and easy. For me, I like doing backup manually, it is more safe and can backup whatever I want.

You can use All in One plugin to migrate your hosting account, but you have to migrate your wordpress application one by one.

But if you are using cpanel control panel then you can easily migrate while account to another server using same control panel.
