I am purchasing a new cloud hosting package, 8GB RAM, 7 vCore but not sure it will be faster or better than a VPS with same specs? What are the main differences between cloud hosting and VPS hosting? Can anyone explain me?

It depends on the company.
A lot of companies use the "cloud" buzzword when in fact it's just a VPS.

The specifications you've given aren't bad, though. But no one can give a definitive answer, to be honest.

they said it is not a problem and i can use that ip but I am not sure about that.

What is the basic difference between Cloud hosting and VPS hosting

VPS hosting is a type of server hosting system that has its own operating system (i.e. LINUX, WINDOWS) and allocated server resources. The acronym VPS stands for Virtual Private Server. In laymen language, there is only one main physical server which is divided into multiple small virtual servers. This small virtual server furthers rented out to different users. Here each of these virtual bodies remains separate and giving their users complete access over it.
Virtual Private Servers runs your website within a secure container with guaranteed resources i.e. memory, disk space, CPU, etc. which you don’t have to share with other users. With VPS hosting, you get the same root-level access as a dedicated server has at a very lower cost.

In the case of cloud hosting, there is no such physical object which you can point to as the cloud. It is like an electronic structure where data is stored over many different computers and served up via a network connection, typically the Internet.
The technology used in cloud hosting is very different from the traditional one. Instead of storing your data on a single server, in cloud hosting, your data gets distributed among different servers at different places, and they all are connected. The best part is you can easily access your data through a virtual machine that has access to the different servers across the cloud.

Which Server to Choose? Cloud Hosting vs VPS Hosting
In comparison to cloud hosting VPS hosting is less efficient as it provides limited computing resources to each client. So whenever resources requirement increases, the system would not be able to handle the traffic flow.

Cloud hosting is according to its name and also working in the same manner as the cloud does. It means if one server is reaching its optimum level, then a second server is ready to function. Similarly, if any server fails, then website traffic switch to another server and in this way, this process continues without sacrificing the performance website.

If you are thinking to buy more reliable and advance featured hosting services then cloud hosting is one of the best choices for any size business.

In my opinion, VPS servers are designed for people who just focused on hosting a website or application. However it is a powerful hosting solution but it does not guarantee all-time availability of your website and in the situation of high traffic load, you may have to face downtime.

I read this and see that it is an advantage of cloud hosting over vps hosting :)

Below are the points of difference between VPS hosting and Cloud hosting:
  • VPS is less efficient as compared to cloud hosting because a specific amount of computing resources are allocated to each account. So, if there is increase in the requirement the system won’t be able to handle the load. It will get crashed and same would happen if there is problem with the server’s functionality.
  • In cloud hosting, the website is hosted on a cluster of combined computing resources. It means even if there is a load on one server the next server remains ready to function.
  • Cloud hosting offers great reliability and powerful functionality. Also, cloud hosting is affordable for many businesses due to its pay per usage feature.
  • With VPS hosting, your website won’t always remain up especially when the traffic is high.

A real cloud is a cluster of dedicated server and your cloud hosting is a VPS in that cloud. The benefits are that you can upgrade resources more easily and also that your data are replicated all over the cloud so if a piece of hardware break then your data stays online.

According to my point of view vps hosting is less efficient it allocates a specified amount of computing resources to each client if requiremnet is increase than systrm will not able to handle additional inflow
In cloud hosting increase differently ain cloud The website hosted on a pool of unified computing resources it means that if one server is reaching optimum level the second server id ready to function
