Good UX will help rankings since it will encourage the users to be more interactive onsite and not have high bounce-rates. Also, I think Google is checking for clean code, which is significant in having better UX onsite
A few days ago I come across an article on Seroundtable about whether good UX impacts ranking. From nearly 600 votes, 54% of the people have stated that good UX indirectly impacts ranking. I also think that the better the user experience, the higher the chances for a good ranking. If the UX is good, people will probably spend more time on your website, the bounce rate may be lower, and they may make more conversions and come back again to your site. I think these factors will lead to better ranking in the SERPs.
UX impact for your ranking? I think yes. Why? Because UX (user experience) is one of the search engine ranking factor. UX related with these factor :
- fast loading site
- useful content
- easy navigation
I agree with #Griya. Today, Google is paying more attention to your site's UX and it has a direct and powerful impact on SEO rankings through the various metrics such as page speed, mobile responsiveness, menu/header layout and URL structure that search engines use to track user engagement to your site. If your website lacks easy navigation, useful content and fast loading speed then it might surely penalize you in one way or other. In fact, Search engines aren't just helping people find what they exactly want; they're also garnering data that helps them understand user behavior how they engage and interact with your site.
