@unisecuredc already listed the benefits, so I will also list the cons of cloud storage :

1. Cost : cloud storage cost is variable and everything is billed (storage + transfer + requests)
2. Protocols support : most part of object storage solution require to use an API (like AWS S3) to upload files in your buckets, and there is no FTP, SFTP, SAMBA or NFS support
3. Security : cloud storage security mostly depend on users, it require to follow good security practices to avoid issues (there are hundreds of S3 buckets set by mistake in public mode and all files are publicly available)

Accessibility is the greatest advantage for me. You can access your data from anywhere, and it saves you space on your computer.

There are many benefits of Cloud storage. This is a great platform that does not require huge investment. Some of the main benefits are:

1) Usability And Accessibility
2) Cost Savings and Automation
3) Scalability
4) Security
5) Disaster Recovery in case of any emergency

Regarding Cloud storage, do you have any thing in your mind so that we can give more detailed features, cons and pros related to that.

Most of the common features are already mentioned in the above thread and the best part I like when it is a cloud storage is Online availability than that of a local backup which you need to carry that disk whenever you are out of home/town for some days for a use of emergency.

I think the best benefit when you put your data on a cloud is, you can access it wherever on this world via internet. That's easy and convenient for people to control or using data when needed.

I would like to sum it up into three key benefits:

Easy data transfer.
Backup options and easy recovery.
Remote accessibility from anywhere on any device.

If one uses a genuine Cloud computing system for storage, this is both expensive and not very smart. Cloud computing is about performance, not about archive storage. So, it is much smarter to keep backups on any bare-metal storage server, rather than on any system hosted on a Cloud infrastructure. There is one more thing... here days people just use the word "Cloud" to describe any service delivered from a data center and this make any conversations about "The Cloud" a bit confusing.
