It usually takes about 6 months of hard work to get a new website to get decent traffic and produce sales.

What has been your successful "modus operandi" to help new bloggers to start seeing some Amazon or other advertiser type conversions happening on a consistent level?
What were the basic "out of the gate" activities to get your site on the map and then what did you do to get your traffic up and see your sales begin?

I just did a write up on something like this for my members.

If it is a niche I really want to dominate, I have been using something I call Multiply & Conquer. Instead of creating 1 money site, I create 1 main money site and 5-8 supplementary money sites.

It's combining two concepts. First, it is a private network of sorts except it is a private network of real, legit, monetized websites.

Second, I'm trying to rank all of these sites. There is quite a bit of evidence that Google gives a bit of a boost to links coming from sites that are ranking well in the same SERP. For example, if I have Site A that ranks #9 for 'blue widgets' and Site B that ranks #16 for 'blue widgets', and they both link to my main money site targeting 'blue widgets', those links are a bit more powerful than links coming from pages that are not ranking for 'blue widgets' (all other things being equal).

There is a lot more to this, but yeah. Basically, I create my own little web to dominate the market instead of just trying to rank 1 website.
