I am asking this because my domain registrar set this domain as premium domain. I think it is a normal domain but they thought different. What are your thoughts? Any comments?

There is no such things as "Premium Domain". There are Top-Level Domains. Your domain registrar probably "plays" with the fact that there are words used as popular search terms in the web address, such as "forum".

You are right on this and that's why I contacted them about this and got no answer for explaining why that.

Maybe true, maybe wrong for this, if we don't combine domain exertion (.hosting) for this domain then it is just a normal domain as only contained "ForumWeb". Maybe it is marked as premium because its renewal price will increase.

Luckily I renewed it for many years with the price like I bought it at the beginning time.

If you bought that domain for more than a thousand dollars, then there’s a possibility that it is a premium domain. Premium domains are extremely expensive than normal domains. It was owned by someone or owned by a registry.

The domain has enough conditions to become a premium domain name.
I know it did but I prefer it is a normal domain.

No I bought it no more than $30 but now its marking as premium domain thus its renewal price is not cheap any more. I asked the provider but didn't get an exact answer. I also asked a domain expert and he answered, when it considered as a premium domain then its renewal price is "premium" too. :)

Well then you have to put that domain in a marketplace and you can earn more than you expect if that is the case. Premium domain price ranges a thousand dollars or more than that.

Hello,

As far as I know (please tell me if I'm wrong), the premium domain status is told by the registry, not the registrar. As I see, your registrar is NameCheap and registry of .hosting is Uniregistry. So, I think you should reach Uniregistry to confirm if it is really a premium domain name or not. I suppose that forumweb.hosting is not a premium domain name, as the longest premium domain name I've found on Uniregistry website is 4 letters.

I contacted them and they didn't give me an answer for this. They only said that renewal price can not be changed though it is a premium or a normal domain name.

Of course is shorter is better for almost cases but for some cases, long domain name can be set as premium domain names because they are important keywords that will get good traffic from search engines. This domain is one of them.
