Hey Folks,

I am going to start with my forum website. I have already purchased a domain name and a hosting plan.

The thing that I am not sure about is, how much disk size one will need to accommodate for 100 users? Currently my plan has some 500 MB of disk space, will it be good to start with?
I intend to gather feedback from my site users as I go ahead.
Looking forward to get more insights in the area from all of you!:)

500 mb is more than enough for starter
my prediction you will fill that space about in 1-2 years, thats if your forum is active & not storing large files on the site

500 MB is enough for a new forum but you may need to a faster web hosting plan for your forum because it will help your members experience your forum better.
A shared hosting is good enough but a VPS may be more better. :)

Currently, 500MB may be enough disk space, but you can't be sure how many users you will get in the next months. If I were you, I would have bought a shared hosting plan with about 10-20 GB SSD. Such a plan should cost probably about $2-5 per month.

With 500MB you're up to a decent start, but hopefully, you won't have to stay for long with this plan. As your forum grows and attracts more traffic, you will have to move to a better package, either with your current host or find another provider. Keep an eye on the key aspects such as uptime and loading speed. They are critical to driving and maintaining traffic.
