I'm curious in this one, is it possible to make a personal home-based VPN server? Because I know that VPN are useful enough but do I really need to have one or to pay for a VPN? Which is more advisable, I will set-up my own personal VPN server or I should pay for VPN servers? Is it really advisable? Glad to hear some advice from here. Cheers!

Look into OpenVPN. It is possible to make your own. But what is your reason for wanting one? Do you want to obscure what you're doing on the internet or are you trying to have a secure connection into equipment at a facility?

Yeah, I heard some about that OpenVPN server. I want to have a more secure connection for my personal use and I'm finding good sites to make a personal VPN server. Cheers!

+1 for OpenVPN...its fairly easy to setup and manage...it works just fine for personal use.
