Making use of parked domains

Hi

What do you do with domains without a website (Parked domains)?

There comes a point when I sometimes want to let go of a domain and not renew it, but when a domain has been owned for over 10 years it's difficult to let go. Try selling them and it's tough unless the domain is a premium.

What do you do with your domains? Do you just keep hold of them?

If it's a premium name or you think it has any value then try selling it.
If it's a name of personal value or is linked to something your interested in, but not needing and not intending to use, don't renew it. It would unlikely be registered by anyone, and you can register it in the future if you need it. And make sure if you did lose it, it won't keep you up at night thinking about it

It seems a waste to just keep a domain for that long and not even use it.

Parked domains often are premium domains and they server for the purpose to earn money, if I have a domain like that, I also try to make it as parked domain and earning money from websites that allowing parked domains such as Above.com, Bodis.com or Voodoo.com

Of course is I will keep them because they are more valuable if I develop websites or selling for money.

Depends on the domain, it doesn't necessarily mean that 'premium' domains are easier to sell. Businesses are many and each one is unique, maybe some need a non-premium domain, as it perfectly fits into their vision. One never knows.
As said, either try to sell them or don't renew them. They're surely useless when parked without any particular purpose.
