You can register a domain or use a free one. Depends on your needs. What is the purpose of your website? Something serious or just testing out?

Well if you check offer section of this forum , you will find that many hosting companies offering free domain registration with hosting packages. So I guess opt in for one s per your requirement.

There are tons of domain registrars available in market, i.e GoDaddy, ResellerClub, Enom and others also they are running end of year discounts so better to contact them directly and avail the great offers :)

Actually, most hosting companies offers domain registration as well. You just have to think of a unique name that is not used and register it under your name or company.

You are right, but I don't use ResellerClub or Enom. Godaddy, Namecheap is my favorite choices.

Mostly people didn't want to buy domain names from a hosting provider if they buy hosting plans there because they don't want to put all eggs in a basket.

We use rsellerclub in our company for international customers/domains, however for .pt domains we use OVH and we couldn't be more happy. Very good prices and a good back office manager.

The most suggested domain website you can create is Godaddy, becuse it's very cheap and secure, the other that i would recommend you is Z and rebel. Although i haven't tried them myself, i have full confidence on GoDaddy.

A good domain name is one of the determinants on how your business will become in the future. First of all you have to think of what domain name you would like. It depends on how your website will be used. Will it be for blogging or for online business. You can choose from two to three domain names and check from a domain provider like godaddy.com if the one you chose is still available. If all of the three is already taken, they will suggest a different domain name or you can choose .net”, .co”.

There are quite a few domain registrars which you can choose from. Some of the ones which I have used and found to be good enough are:

-Name cheap
-go daddy
-big rock

Personally, I would go with name cheap any day as they are not only affordable but also do not try to oversell you different offers as well as schemes.

I am using Godaddy for my domain name. Before you buy a domain name, make you use the one that suits what your site will contain. This will go along way to when you are driving traffic to the site.

I typically stick to two registers only them being godaddy.com and namecheap.com

I find namecheap much more reliable as in when I need support from them and its faily easy to navigate their website and use their tools in their control panel very easily.

No site offers free .com domain name . You can get a free .com domain name only if you buy and additional package with it , like hosting or web builder . Many sites offer free .tk domain .

There's a multitude of domain registrars, and 99.998% of them are legitimate providers.

NameSilo and Epik are generally the cheapest for .com/.net/.org domains.
NameCheap is best for all domain extensions other than those mentioned above.
Freenom provides free domains with the .tk/.ga/.gq/.ml extension, you should avoid .tk due to the amount of abuse caused by it.

You should use either TLD-List.com or DomComp.com if you want to compare a specific extensions price against major providers. You should make sure to take into the account the renewal cost's though.
