I have a Linux hosting and I am a new user of Linux. I am facing lots of problem when installing software packages in Linux, especially .rpm files.
Can anyone help me out how to install .rpm files in Linux?

To install a .rpm package archive simply navigate to the directory where the package file is located and as use the rpm -ivh yourpackage.rpm, you'll either have to sudo or be super user to use this command.

Depending on whether this a server or desktop system you can install GUI tools to assist you in the installation of these packages.
